Thursday… or the day that does not have 30 Rock yet…

Time Must Watch Potential
7:00 pm Ugly Betty Survivor (I’m trying to get back into it)
8:00 pm The Office, 30 Rock CSI (I’m trying to get back into it)
9:00 pm

Hmmm…  not that bad as I thought.  Friday and Saturday are off the grid because there’s not much that I want to watch during Prime Time except for The Soup.

Sunday…

Time Must Watch Potential
7:00 pm The Simpsons, The Amazing Race The New Adventures of Old Christine
8:00 pm Desperate Housewives, True Blood, Family Guy (3rd Choice) Dexter
9:00 pm Little Britian USA

Not fair!!!  NOT FAIR!!!  Pushing Daisies, Bones, and ANTM at the same time?????

Time Must Watch Potential
7:00 pm Pushing Daisies, Bones, ANTM The New Adventures of Old Christine
8:00 pm Mythbusters, Project Runway (until it’s over)
9:00 pm Dirty Sexy Money (I’ll give it another chance), Sordid Lives

In hindsight, this is a better day than I had thought.

In other news, if I don’t watch Fringe this week it’s cut out of the PVR.  I may keep it if the roomie is watching, but I’m not sure if he is.

2008 Fall Season - Tuesday

September 22nd, 2008 / No Comments » / by Matthew

Thank you Hulu for letting me watch Chuck’s premiere a week early!  I’ll take the time shift right now.

Heroes was interesting.  Some of the character changes were nice, some were ??? (I’m looking at you, Mohinder), and I loved how they resolved some items in the plot.  I’d say more but I don’t want to spoil.  I’m interested to see where things go, although I’m already starting to feel like each season is an episode of Seinfeld:  100 separate threads that get tied together at the end in some weird way that doesn’t quite make sense.

HIMYM…  look, we all agree that Sarah isn’t the Mother.  Right?  With that caveat, it’s fine.  I love Marshall so much it hurts.

Let’s get to tonight.  As always, I try to get all of my shows included properly although I might miss some cable programs.

Time Must Watch Potential
7:00 pm House
8:00 pm The Mentalist (just for the hell of it), DWTS results (if I watch the week before) Fringe, Eureka
9:00 pm Law & Order: SVU Boston Legal, The Hills

Did I mention that I’ve got school on Tuesdays?  And I haven’t watched Terminator yet?  Ugh.

Oh, dear. Let’s see if this goes somewhere…

John McCain’s Chief of Staff is gay.

What does John McCain’s loyal chief of staff – a man who apparently is in a long-term relationship with another man, and appears to be open about it to John McCain — think about the fact that Sarah Palin devoutly worships at a church that promotes “converting” gays to heterosexuality? What, conversely, does she think of him? More importantly, what does John McCain think about all of this? And don’t we deserve some answers from the American media?

Say WHAT???

There’s going to be a sixth Hitchhikers book.

“But how can this happen?  Isn’t Douglas Adams dead?”

Yes.  Someone else is writing it.  I can’t believe this…

WAR HAS COME!!! WAAAAAAAAGH!!!

September 13th, 2008 / No Comments » / by Matthew

Today is the early start date for WAR.  Around noon my time the servers will be up for the Collectors Edition players.  Another set will be up for the normal preorders.  Yes another group will be set up for people buying it off of the shelves.

And honestly, I’m fine with that.  Others are going to whine and moan but I have no allegiance to any particular server or guild.  Hell, I’m going to be off at a wedding for the first few days of the launch so I can take my time and feel out various realms to see where I fit in.

Which is what I wanted.

Or I could go run around reserving two names in each server…  tempting…

It’s here!!!  It’s finally here!!!

Bring on the WAR.  I’m ready to organize and kill.

Project Runway - Tim Gunn to judge the winner!

September 12th, 2008 / No Comments » / by Matthew

Apparently Jennifer Lopez couldn’t make it, so Tim Gunn jumped in for final judging.  How will this play with his unique view of each collection?  I have no doubt that he can be an effective judge, but they’ve always said that they liked keeping all of the sewing room drama away from the judging process.  Tim’s seen it all, both during the taping and viewing of the episodes to blog about it, so we’ll see what happens.

How long until we get the show into the hands of producers who care about the show?  And how long can I hold off until I view the collections online?
